0:00:00-0:45:14 - Worship Service

0:45:14-0:47:33 - Creation Life Intro - Environment

0:47:34-1:28:15 - Creation Life Seminar Session 3

This week's topic is "Environment". Influence your surroundings. Environment lies outside your body and affects what takes place inside your body. What you perceive through your senses impacts your well-being. Everything you experience with your senses – sight, smell, sound, touch, and taste – can influence the way you feel mentally and physically.

Our presenter this week is Rebecca Davis, Chaplain Manager at UChicago Medicine AdentHealth Bolingbrook. She has two amazing, and beautiful children, Justin Zachary Davis II and Olivia Nicole Davis who she shares are amazing gifts from the Living God!

Rebecca Davis was born and raised in both Lexington & Louisville, KY (respectively). While raised Catholic during her early childhood years, at the beginning of high school in Louisville, she was baptized into the Seventh-day Adventist Church. After graduating, Rebecca attended her first Adventist educational institution - Oakwood University. Originally a Biochemistry major, during fall semester of sophomore year, Rebecca responded to an altar where sh gave her life totally to the Lord Jesus Christ. This led to her changing focus to Ministerial Theology. In 2004 she completed her BA and graduated. She then enrolled in the Master’s of Divinity program at Andrews University Theological Seminary. During her time at AU she travelled abroad to teach English & Religion for 6 months in South Korea. Rebecca returned to Andrews to complete her degree and in August of 2007 graduated with her MDiv.

Throughout her career, Rebecca has served as Chaplain of In-reach and Bible teacher at Shenandoah Valley Academy in New Market, Va where she was the first African American ever to serve on their teaching staff; Associate Pastor for the Berean Seventh-day Adventist Church in Atlanta, GA where she became the first woman in the South Atlantic Conference to be installed as "senior" pastor in her own church district of Washington-Thomson, GA; Associate Pastor position with the South Eastern California Conference; and Staff Chaplain at Cook Children’s Hospital in Fort Worth, TX where she was the first African American full time chaplain to serve in the spiritual care department. While at Cook Children's, she became a board certified chaplain.

Most recently, her journey has been at UChicago Medicine AdventHealth Bolingbrook in Illinois as chaplain manager. Chaplain Rebecca Davis wants nothing more than to see Jesus and wants to lead others to see Him as well . . . so they may see Him in this present world and in the world to come!
