I just wanted to let you know a couple of things that you might appreciate.
Because of the intense schedule that so many people have right now; we will not be having the regular Thursday night bible study at our home tonight or next Thursday.  We will continue with our home group bible study May 14. Until then I hope to see you at the Daniel studies we are having.
This Sabbath is Pathfinder Sabbath and there will be a fellowship lunch to follow. Please bring a dish to pass plus extra for others.
I want to encourage you to invite someone to come to church with you this week. In a recent survey 56% of people invited to church went. In a survey statistic of unchurched people 28% didn’t even care which day they went. Be bold for God and invite someone today.

UNSEALING DANIEL’S MYSTERIES

April 24 – May 8.  The meeting times are Friday, Monday and Wednesdays at the Indian Prairie Public Library on Plainfield Rd in Darien. There are two sessions each evening with exception to the last two Fridays (May 1 and 8).  The times are 6:15-7:25 and 7:35-8:45.
NOTE: The “Unsealing Daniels Mysteries” will be at the Illinois conference office meeting room on the 3rd floor this Friday. The Address is: 619 Plainfield Rd.  May 4, 6, and 8 will be back at the library.

DAY OF PRAYER

May 2, 2009 has been designated as Illinois Conference Day of Prayer.  A few prayer options are: Fasting, Prayer Walks, Group Prayers, 24 hr scheduled prayer.  Some of the Conference prayer priorities are:  Revival – Individual & Corporate, Touch Every 1 for Jesus, Year of Evangelism, Stewardship – Individual & Corporate & Central Hispanics need to sell former facility.

INTERNATIONAL FOOD FAIR

May 3 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.  Come and give your taste buds a trip around the world. This is a fun filled event for the whole family! More information to follow… Also, for those cooks who are looking to share a favorite international (or American) treat, a sign-up sheet is located downstairs for those interested in hosting a booth. Please note that you do not have to be from a specific country to represent it, just have a willingness to prepare and serve a dish from that country. Please see Dustan Daniel if you have any questions regarding this.

FROM THE YOUTH DEPARTMENT

The Youth Ministries Department provides an opportunity for many children to enjoy their summer in a safe, beautiful, and spiritual atmosphere. Each child that comes to Camp Akita this summer will experience the best of what the camp has to offer. Summer camp registrations are being taken at www.campakita.com. Space is limited!

CHICAGOLAND LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE 2009

Sabbath, May 9, 3:00-7:00 PM, Yugoslavian SDA Church (5608 N. Pulaski Rd, Chicago).  Join us for workshops, presentations, and fellowship that will provide practical tools, inspiring Biblical principles, and relevant applications to equip you to be Christ’s disciple. NORTHERN ILLINOIS CONVOCATION

Meal tickets are available for the Northern Illinois Convocation on May 16.  There are separate tickets available for lunch and supper.  The cost is $4 per person per meal.  Please contact Andy Wegrzyn regarding tickets.  He will be purchasing the tickets on May 4 so please have your requests in by Sabbath, May 2.  Please indicate if you want lunch, dinner or both and how many you need.
