In Mathew 24:42 Jesus Himself admonishes us to “Watch therefore, for you do not know what hour your Lord is coming”. Stay awake and be ready! But, like the young ruler in Jesus days, the question remains today; what must we do to be ready?

Dear Church Family:

Two weeks ago one of my co-workers called her husband at home to let him know she would be a little late coming home since she had some errands to run after work. Her husband has some health issues so, they talk frequently during the day just to make sure he is alright. This time when she called, he did not answer. She figured he went outside or fell asleep and could not hear the phone. A couple hours later she called again with the same results, no answer. She then decided she should go home to find out what was going on. Once at home, she found her husband slumped over in a chair fast asleep.

In Mathew 24:42 Jesus Himself admonishes us to “Watch therefore, for you do not know what hour your Lord is coming”. Stay awake and be ready! But, like the young ruler in Jesus days, the question remains today; what must we do to be ready?
