Subscribing to a Calendar

Subscribing to our public calendars is a great way to stay up to date with the activities of our church, school and Pathfinder club. Here is how to add our calendars of events to your favorite calendar app.

Google Calendar

(Google Calendar does update and change. If the below steps don't work, go here for Google's step by step process.)

  1. On the DGSDA Calendar page right click the "Subscribe" button on the calendar you would like to subscribe to and copy the link.
  2. On your computer go to calendar.google.com.
  3. Sign in with your Google account.
  4. Go to your calendar Settings.
  5. Click Add Calendar and then click From URL.
  6. Paste the url you copied in step one and add the calendar.

Apple Calendar

(Apple Calendar does update and change. If the below steps don't work, go here for Apple's step by step process.)

  1. On the DGSDA Calendar page right click the "Subscribe" button on the calendar you would like to subscribe to and copy the link.
  2. On your computer open the Apple Calendar program, choose File > New Calendar Subscription.
  3. Paste the calendar’s web address, then click Subscribe.
  4. Enter a name for the calendar in the Name field, then click the adjacent pop-up menu and choose a color.
  5. Click the Location pop-up menu, then choose an account for the subscription.
  6. If you choose your iCloud account, the calendar is available on all your computers and devices that are set up with iCloud.
  7. If you choose On My Mac, the calendar is saved on your computer.
  8. To get the calendar’s event attachments or alerts, deselect the appropriate Remove checkboxes.
  9. Click the Auto-refresh pop-up menu, then choose how often to update the calendar.
  10. To prevent alerts from appearing for this calendar, select “Ignore alerts.”
  11. Click OK.

To make changes later, click the name of the calendar, then choose Edit > Get Info.

Outlook.com

(Outlook does update and change. If the below steps don't work, go here for Outlook's step by step process.)

  1. On the DGSDA Calendar page right click the "Subscribe" button on the calendar you would like to subscribe to and copy the link.
  2. Sign in to Outlook.com.
  3. At the bottom of the navigation pane, select Calendar.
  4. On the toolbar, select Add calendar > From internet.
  5. In the Link to the calendar box, type or copy and paste the calendar URL.
  6. In the Calendar name box, enter a name for the linked calendar.
  7. Select Save.
