The church’s greatest resource is our children. Therefore, it is imperative that as a church we meet the challenge to provide a program for our children during their early, formative years. We want right habits, thoughts, motives, dispositions, and attitudes to be established. The Wise Man wrote, “Bring up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it” (Proverbs. 22:6, NW). This is more than a cliché—it is a scientific formula. This is the purpose for developing the Adventurer Club”. (adventurers manual page 4)
After a year of hard work and dedication, our Dynamos Adventurers Club achieved their goal. We first started with six children in the first meeting and ended with eighteen children. God has truly blessed us so much! We thank the support of each parent that had been bringing their children on time each session, as well as their collaboration with all activities. Club members enjoyed working on achieving honors, which required an on-site visit to places like Klein Creek Farm, Willowborok Wildlife Center, and Fullersburg Woods Forest Preserve. Also, children learned about the Bible, Health and Fitness, Nature, and Fire Safety. Futhermore, children were encouraged to participate in all activities, special crafts, games, awards, singing and classwork at every meeting. Parents also assisted with classwork preparation, materials, and other duties as needed. There are so many wonderful experiences! We concluded our club meetings this Sabbath with Investiture thanking all the children for their hard work. In all, this work is preparation for our children to go to Heaven. Thank you all for your support!
On the last meeting of the Dynamos Adventurer Club, we went to Kline Creek Farm, to complete honors before the investiture. We notice how the sheep shearing. We watch also as sheepdogs herd the flock and farmhands shear sheep, and we play games from the 1890′s, here are some pictures of our club having fun!.
The Dynamos Adventurer Club, had “The Olympics Games”. Parents and children played together and having fun. Each family from the club sponsored a game. Some of the game was, the balloon between the knee race, hug the balloon friend relay, birdie feather race, backward race, the egg –a-thon race and bowling water bottles Bean Bags throwing competition. The children were so excited; they participated in each game with a lot of enthusiasm.
